During my summer 2022 internship at Smart Design, I worked as a visual designer and contributed to developing the system and layout of their innovation report series. Smart Design had an established page layout for project case studies and shorter articles but lacked a system for creating digital long-form reports with multiple sections.

In collaboration with stakeholders and another visual designer, I prototyped and delivered various components and systems to facilitate online report publishing while adhering to Smart's existing brand and web guidelines.

We identified what the different sections and components that were needed to build out the webpage was, and also discussed with a developer to find out what features were already built out and available and what some limitations would be. We sketched what the layout might look like, what the different sections, like a pull-out quote or a page progress bar, would look like and be integrated within the page. These sketches informed our wireframes and ultimately our final design solution.
